Wolsey: Brand to Watch for 2012

Wolsey is a heritage British retailer that began its long history in the year of 1755, over 250 years ago, and is still turning heads and showing us what British clothing is truly made of. This was a big year for the company who were acquired by the Hargreaves family and made private, while also launching their new and gorgeous website and becoming part of the Twitterverse (@WolseyLtd), where I first met my now favorite brand.

When I first visited the new site I was stunned first and fore most by the sweaters. If you have ever met me then you know the one thing I love more than my digital devices are my big, knit, comfy, (insert your adjective here) sweaters. As I drooled over the first page of models in the most wonderful sweaters, my eyes moved down the screen and I saw the boots, then the jackets, then the socks, and then my credit card was in my hand and…yeah, I don’t remember much more.

Needless to say I fell deeply in love and have yet to get over it.

What makes this brand exciting for us Americans is that they just launched the online site where you can order everything you desire straight from the site. In the past one would have gone across the pond or begged a Brit friend to bring you one these items back to the states, but now with the site and the super responsive twitter account you don’t need to go farther than your screen to get everything you want.

So, to usher in the New Year, here are my 2012 picks from Wolsey. Bring a napkin to wipe some of the drool from your mouth.
