The Beauty Girl’s Guide to Beat The Heat (Monday Mini-cure)

I welcome back a guest blogger favorite of mine. Miss Brandy @goldhoneebee Hazzard. She is a Chicago full-figured fashion and beauty blogger, who is all about keeping it cute even in the summer heat! Since you cannot live at the beach all summer. Here’s what to do. Warning: Some trial and error is involved, but no fire hydrants!

Looking good in the heat can be hard to do. [Especially] When it is hot and humid out, and you still have to look your best. It helps to have, a healthy skin regime coupled with an understated glam outfit, they will keep you cool in the summer time heat. I have discovered a beautiful product called the tinted moisturizer.

I went to Sephora in the Water Tower to find the perfect one. I tried Laura Mercier, and it was too heavy for my skin, plus it didn’t have my color. Boo!

The artist applied the NARS tinted moisturizer on me, and it was the perfect color and it didn’t feel heavy at all. I went out with the girls this weekend.

It was a chance to use my new makeup and get all jazzy. So I used the Smashbox face primer before applying the tinted moisturizer and afterward I used my blotting powder by MAC. Every girl can benefit by applying a little concealer and powder at the minimum, even in the summer. Apply some eyeliner, mascara, gloss, and a blush and you’re set.

Shout out to Curvatude for having great necklaces in her shop. (ShopFete) I was in love with this necklace, when I first spotted it on her blog. The headband is a scarf I tied in a bow.
