Man O Man. I love a well dressed man. Let’s be honest. My heart starts to race when I see a well dapper dresser. My favorite show this summer is Suits. If you aren’t into it, you better catch up. You will love the story, but more importantly you will love the fashion. The managing partner Jessica has the best modern working women’s wardrobe in television. (hands down)

But I digress, this is a menswear post.
I am excited about this new trend to be a well dressed gentleman.
There are three Chicago start-ups (okay 1 is from Ohio, but one of the founders lives here so we’ll take’em) that are leading the charge and gives the butt-crack showing boys a run for their money.

Artfully Disheveld is a neckwear brand that puts a new spin on an old accessory. My favorite is the Six Shooter tie which brandishes tons of guns. I first heard of them when I was on a Fashion Business Panel discussion, and met one of the Founders Trey Berre. He was sporting this bold tie that caught my eye. Here is a cute summer pocket square with Popsicle from their collection. I like that it takes add a new spin on what could be a bland item.

Chicago, isn’t missing out on the Menswear invasion. There are websites start ups like StyleSeek.com

This invite only hand curated site, takes your tastes from movies and music to make up your style match online. I met Eli Noto, one of the awesome Content Managers for the site, at a recent Chicago start-up event. Eli told me how they pull together the styleseek profiles. I was interested in learning more, but I am not a dude so I asked a fashionable male friend to help me out on this research mission. Christopher said he liked it because of the game you play at the beginning. He also liked that it tells you the dollar amount of the items and links you to them to purchase directly from the brand. We love when websites make our lives easy.

Okay, So here is where I will ask for your help in making this Chicago Entrepreneurs dreams come true. Jon Yeazel is a Chicago guys guy who loves to look his best. In his mission to keep his tie in tack he started this company called Necks and Balances, they make The World’s First Gentleman Fashion Adhesive. *cue the music* Let’s be honest here. I could totally use this to keep just about anything in place. This is the WINDY city. He is less than $800 bucks away from his first manufacturing deal. He is using Kickstarter to get the word out. I know my readers are all about helping out and getting some fashion payola in return. Kick in some Benjamins and get some fashion adhesive! There is only 2 days left so go now!
