Sorry grandma, we are smashing the rules. This color combo was all over the runways, and now you can rock it in the streets. I own two great outfits that are stashed away in suit bags waiting for autumn to begin. With everyone from Rachel Zoe to The Limited jumping in on this hot fall trend. I know grandma and your budget will approve. I hope you get some inspiration to work a look that will take you from office chic to downtown diva.

These two looks are from the Rachel Zoe RTW collection. I love how she makes a spectacular statement while keeping it sleek. Both looks are showstoppers and can be worn on every body type. There are many ways to wear black, and white and you may even want to add a pop of color with your shoes, bag, or accessorize with a hat or scarf.

This classic houndstooth skirt is updated with a bright neon yellow blouse from The Limited.

If you can’t stomach a full skirt or houndstooth coat. This bracelet maybe just the small taste of the tooth to add some flash to your fall duds.

Faux Fur is running wild this Fall! My wishlist of Faux Fur is getting longer and longer. I’ve seen so many great one now that I am super undecided on which to get. They are very very easy to style. As they pretty much go with anything. I would say go toned down on the attire as the Vest or Jacket will speak volumes for itself.

As seen above Singer Ciara rocks a fur vest with denim on top and bottom. She looks sleek and very well pulled together.

I am more of a knee high boot girl myself. I like to keep my legs covered as I have larger feet for my small frame. The Color Blocking trend has been seen all over the streets and runways. Now you know it is not going away when you see Mrs. SJP being the rock mom that she is looking flawless in the color blocking trend. Many are doing contrasting colors, but I love this same color family, but different intensity. Here we see Sarah Jessica Parker rocking the bold yet feminine Pink and Red Combo with a great White pump.
