Everyone knows Anna Wintour is the Queen of the Fashion Candyland game that is Vogue. Where one wrong move or look from Ms. Wintour and you are out! What many don’t know is that she doesn’t find herself intimidating. She seems like a nice enough woman who is the victim of many stereotypes. This video is one of in a series of videos by Forbes Women is putting out about the great business woman of 2011. You know Anna made the list. As said in the video she can make or break a rising designer with one word. She also has been at the top of her game for 25 years. In a world like Fashion where fame and beauty can be fleeting. I find it amazing that she’s been able to be on top this long. And continue to be a trendsetter and fashion icon. Vogue as she puts it is just trying to take the world in and put in on the pages of their magazine. I like that she has a quiet strength about her. In this video she is just telling her thoughts and advice she would give to other young woman who want to make a mark for themselves in any industry. It is true. Take the advice and suggestions of people you trust, but then always follow your heart. As it will take you very far in life, but just doing what matters and means the most to you. Good Advice. Not to mention she is wearing an flawless Chanel suit with Silver lapels.

My Four Jewelry Must Haves
This fall season some of my pieces reflect four of my favorite hot fall jewelry trends that are rocking the runway:
1. layering pearls
2. pieces that combine vintage and new materials
3. natural and tribal pieces that incorporate natural stones-agates, onyx, opaque stones
4. beaded unisex bracelets.

There is no need to stick with June Cleaver’s single strand of perfectly round iridescent pearls. Please mix it up!!

How to Make an Accessory Statement
This season I recommend for fashion custom jewelry, ivory pearls that push the envelope. Must have pieces include stick, coin and baroque pearls layered (a la Coco Chanel, circa 1936) to add extra dimension to a power suit or wrap dress. I have designed a three-strand necklace, which incorporates all of these fabulous shapes. With your hounds tooth attire, you can pair my black onyx strand with Swarovski crystal, which also layers well with pearls. The luster of these black beads compliments the black and white pattern and provides a lovely tonal quality to the total look. A black suit will pop with one of my elegant tribal necklaces of amber, cow bone, African bicone and brass. One of my favorite looks is vintage with a twist. I add a modern touch to hand made vintage Tibetan pendants, using real gemstone and sterling silver.

As I say farewell to my relaxed summer attire, I look forward to creating dynamic layered looks and accentuating that look with jewelry. You do not have to purchase a new wardrobe to create a new look you can add a custom piece of jewelry to kick your fall fashions into high gear!
